FOOD FOR THOUGHT!

Have you ever thought about how adaptable we are? We often hear, “That is not good for you,” or “You should eat that,” or “Get more exercise,” or that we should do certain things to get certain results. We so often hear that “that” is good for everyone!! You know—“One size fits all!”

But aren’t we individuals? Don’t we each have a different fingerprint? We are all different!

So what if someone was able to live a long life smoking a cigar (George B.), or drinking a daily Dr. Pepper (Pauling C.)? How could that happen?

OKAY—now think about the pesticides that were meant to kill the bugs in the field. Today they are not working as well as before. Did those bugs adapt? What about the bacteria that the antibiotics killed—but the antibiotics no longer work? They are having to use stronger antibiotics!! Did they adapt?

IS it possible that we also can adapt to the energies that are meant to kill us? IF SO, how? Remember again, we are only human beings, and no matter all the research that is done, no one can know it all, but the body can and does know it all. In order to tap into that information, we have to be completely open and willing to do what the body says. We must take our own thinking out of it and LISTEN!!

It is amazing what the body can do IF we can allow it to lead us!!

Depression—so many questions, and no answers!! Some say it is a mental problem. Others call it laziness, or say the person is negative or toxic. Could it be a physical problem? So often those who have depression also have many physical concerns. Also, are there any two people who have depression who have the same concerns?

IF you have depression, is happiness a choice? Often when you ask a depressed person what their goal is in life, it is simply to be happy!

Is depression a situational concern, or more than that?

Is depression due to eating wrong, or can you eat right to overcome depression?

All these questions and yet, no one has the answers.

Could the body know enough to help a person not feel depressed?

Could it be? … that something as simple as more water and more rest would benefit people more than a pill?

It’s so easy to try to do something to fix a concern, whether it is a pill, or more exercise, or a certain high energy food, or drink.

Could it all be simple? We can make life so complicated by trying to “fix” everything. If we simply supported the body with the simple things in life, instead of trying to use complicated things to “fix” it, is it possible that we could notice a difference and enjoy life?

WHY DO YOU GO ON A VACATION?

Is it to replenish your energy, or do you have to come home and rest?

Chronic Illness—is a condition or injury that can last years or a lifetime. It can vary in its severity, with some people able to work and live active or seemingly “normal” lives, while others are very sick. The severity of their symptoms is not clear. Therefore, they are often misunderstood by others.

Here are some truths that are often misunderstood:

  1. Nobody wants to be sick.
  2. Many practitioners don’t understand chronic illness.
  3. Being unable to work is discouraging.
  4. Chronic illness can trigger many negative emotions.
  5. The symptoms of chronic illness are often different in people and hard to understand.
  6. The fatigue experienced is much more than being tired.
  7. Physical pain is common in those with chronic illness.
  8. Not being able to think is extremely hard to bear.
  9. Immune systems are usually weakened.
  10. They are usually more sensitive to certain foods.
  11. Sensitivity to smells is likely.
  12. It takes a lot of effort to function if you have chronic illness.

WEIGHT!—Why too much or too little?

Large red and yellow flower

Could it be due to emotional issues:

  1. from lack of love by parents
  2. from expectations put on a person by parents
  3. from expectations we put on ourselves due to how we were raised
  4. from lack of loving self and hiding from life
  5. from low self esteem, or no self esteem
  6. from physical sickness in an environment we didn’t choose
  7. from family, friends, etc who “harp” on how you can be better OR
  8. simply eating wrong? And if so, why would a person eat wrong? (Look at the reasons above?!)
